TOP 10 SOLAR ACTIVITY

Check out the Solar Sun Spot Activity for the last 2 months.
Past History:
1999 saw record sun spot activity before the expected peak due to arrive in 2000. June 27th, 1999 was one of the highest recorded sun spot days of all time with 341 sun spots. Nov 10th, 1999 saw the highest recorded since 1957 at 347 sun spots. This meant that the future would bring unprecedented magnetic storms to the planet earth...disrupting communications and creating massive power failures!
2000 saw the sun spot solar maximum again at record breaking sun spot numbers on July 20th at 402 which clearly broke the all-time record of 355 set on December 24th and 25th in 1957.
2001 is supposed to be a declining sun spot activity but August and September has seen an unpredicted increase back up to over 320 with the Sun in a continual storm alert status... very unusual!
2002 is now being called a double peak cycle 23 period. Solar flares and sunspots are continuing their unprecedented activity.
2003 is now being called a triple peak cycle 23 period. Solar flares and sunspots are continuing their unprecedented activity leading the way to experiencing unprecedented sun activity. Sun spot counts nearing 300 occured in the early part of this year.
The message here is to be prepared to survive prolonged power outages and no communications wherever you choose to live.
